Hellebores prefer partial to full shade, making them excellent for woodland gardens or shaded areas. They thrive in well-drained, rich, and moist soil, but they can tolerate a range of soil types as long as drainage is adequate. Regular watering is essential, especially in dry spells, but they do not like to sit in waterlogged soil.
