It produces bright purple flowers set in rich ox‑blood calyces, creating a dramatic and eye‑catching display.

Flowering begins in spring and continues uninterrupted through summer and into autumn, making this one of the most reliable salvias for long‑season colour. The plant forms a neat, bushy habit, freely branching and producing many flowering stems, ideal for borders, containers, and wildlife‑friendly planting.
