Beautiful border plant, where no border should be without a Penstemon. Maurice Gibbs' is an upright, semi-evergreen perennial, with mid-green, ovate leaves and narrowly bell-shaped flowers 4cm long, bright purplish-red outside, the mouth and throat white. As a big fan of anything Penstemon you cant go wrong introducing a plant named after a Bee Gee. Of course it is essential to sing 'Staying Alive' to yourself whilst planting!
